Today’s update on supporting businesses as follows:
- The multi-agency Scottish Tourism Emergency Response Group (STERG) has published its National Action Plan in response to COVID-19. The four key areas within the plan are Respond, Reset, Re-start and Recovery. https://www.visitscotland.org/
news/2020/sterg-national- action-plan - The Scottish Government has published a document outlining how decisions will be taken to control coronavirus (COVID-19) while restoring a degree of normality to everyday life. The paper – COVID-19: A Framework for Decision-Making – sets out the position during this ongoing period of lockdown and outlines the factors that must be considered as we move gradually to ease restrictions.
- High street shops and other companies under strain will be protected from aggressive rent collection and asked to pay what they can during the coronavirus pandemic new-measures-to-protect-uk-

- Business Support Grant as of close of play 26 April:
- 1724 applications have been processed. By grant type, 1568 have been processed for the £10k grant with 1405 approved, and 156 processed for the £25k grant, with 134 approved
- £17.4m has now been awarded
- 2202 applications have been received
- The updated guidance issued by Scottish Government last week has been applied and currently only 8 claims still require further guidance
- As of 21 April more than 72,000 applications had been received by Local Authorities across Scotland. Of these 33,176 have been awarded, with a total value of £388m. coronavirus-covid-19-business-
